Background

This dynamic online retailer were experiencing difficulties in finding testers with the right skill set up also with the ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes chaotic environment.

Challenge

The client had telephone interviewed over 20 candidates to try and find a new member of the team who was technically strong but who also enjoyed working in a busy and challenging environment with limited documentation and changing processes.

What happened

Through our large network built up over many years we were able to contact experienced testers who enjoyed solving issues and building business relationships in addition to undertaking hands on testing.  The candidates were local so enjoyed a good work/life balance in addition to and exciting job.

Outcome

The team sent over just a few candidates one of which performed better at telephone interview then any of the other candidates the client had spoken to after many many calls, she was quickly bought in for a face to face interview helping the client to save precious time.

The requirement was to scale the delivery team of professional testers quickly (16 people). There were a number of projects with a key client that needed resource. The brief was to recruit both technical tools based testers and manual QA people on a permanent basis. The company wanted to recruit on a permanent basis. We needed to find people who were client facing and happy to work on different client sites, ostensibly to work away from home during the week.
